“Parenting in the Pursuit of Perfectionism”

Merienda was invited to an event hosted by Kamal Karibou, the founder of SociaLoftas. He invited Renata Cikanaite, a national radio parenting talk show host with a YouTube channel called “Talking with Renata”. She is an international speaker, parenting conference author, a blogger and mom herself. She came to the event to speak about “Parenting in the Pursuit of Perfectionism”.
During the discussion, Renata addressed the relationship between perfectionism and society. She also engaged the attendees to voice out, if any, some positive and negative outcome of perfectionism to both children and parents. The attendees exchanged ideas and opinions regarding the matter.
Overall, it was a fun and informative night, full of rich discussions and sharing of opinions among parents such as myself.
This event included a sumptuous Filipino dinner prepared by Merienda.

The menu included the following:

Rice – Suman: Delight in a steamed rice cake made of glutinous rice and coconut milk, enhanced with the fragrance of banana leaves. It serves as a great accompaniment to savory dishes or a delectable dessert.
Veggie dish – Fresh Lumpia: Savor sautéed veggies, mushrooms, and beans wrapped in a crepe, topped with a sweet and garlicky peanut sauce, and sprinkled with crushed peanuts.
Dessert – Indulge in our selection of filled cupcakes.
