Invitation to the Exhibition Opening of Lithuanian Museum – House of Histories “A Worldwide Lithuania: Our Migration Story”
November 22, 2023 at 18:00 – Merienda was invited to cater desserts, that is, the 5 flavors of cupcakes and lengua de gato/cat’s tongue cookies to the exhibition opening held at the House of Histories (Istorijų Namai). It was a fun and exciting night! I got to see the exhibition that the museum team has worked hard so much for. It’s absolutely educational, informative and interactive. Don’t miss it!
I brought my husband with me during this event and he had a great time as well. We had the honor of meeting Mr. Vytautas Landsbergis and he kindly agreed to sign the book from the exhibition. This book was made as well by the museum team. I am so proud to be included in this book as well, as I have contributed my migration story to Lithuania, filmed a month before the exhibition opening. In addition, a fellow Filipino who also lives in Vilnius, Noimie Tolentin-Steikunas, is in the book, and we both represented our country, the Philippines, proudly.
My husband and I went home with empty cupcake boxes and cookie jars! I’m really glad that the guests loved the cupcakes and lengua de gato/cat’s tongue cookies!
More importantly we met a number of awesome and talented people at the exhibition, especially Milda Varnauskaitė , Giedre, Augustė, Dominyka, Gabrielė and Eskedar! We got to listen to the The Garfunkels – International Choir of Vilnius choir finally, plus, we again had the chance to serve food with the most friendly owners of Petra Bakery & Shawarma .
This exhibition is a must-see and it is open until September 2024. For more information, kindly visit their website:
